Hello and we're back with another exciting meatball sandwich, this one from SDS (Student Delivery Service).
At SDS there are no seats inside. They deliver for free and you can pick up. They are mostly a pizza place. The service is good but not as open and friendly as Bagel & Deli. The meatball sub comes with green peppers, onions, meatballs, sauce, and cheese on a white sub with small white seed things (not sesame seeds). On the side there were banana peppers, pickles, and lettuce. I got the Tuesday night sub special which also included chips and a large drink.
I didn't like green peppers and onions, you might, but I took them off. They had enough meatballs that it flew out the sides of the sandwich. They were big but not sliced like Bagel & Deli. The taste of the meatball was sweet and sour with a touch of banana pepper. The sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes just squished with a tangy taste because of some spices. The cheese was melted on the sub. They had enough cheese, maybe just a slight too much because the cheese kind of took over the meatball flavor. The bread was dull, well you could taste it a little bit. It was toasted and crunchy. The regular price of the sub is $7.59. It's pretty high for what you get even with the $6.99 Tuesday special, because what if a poor hobo walks into SDS on a Wednesday night and wants a meatball sandwich, what are they going to do? Huh? The Bagel & Deli bagel was better and cheaper.
Out of a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 6.
So, if you're from Russia buy your plane ticket and stop being a spy, and come on down to SDS for a tasty meatball sandwich!

Hello! Welcome to my blog! This blog is going to tell you about Oxford area food for kids, because adults don't know what they're doing. Each semester I will talk about a certain kind of food (like meatball sandwiches, pizzas, Chinese food, etc) and each week I will tell you about a different restaurant selling that food (like Jimmy Johns, Subway, McDonald's, Bruno's Pizza, Pita Pit, etc). I hope this blog will help you and your parents get you the kind of food kids like!

Meatball Sandwich from Bagel & Deli
Hello! Welcome to my blog again. This week we'll be talking about Bagel & Deli's tasty Afterburner Meatball Bagel.
The Afterburner comes with banana peppers, meatballs, provolone, and pizza sauce on an onion bagel (and a free cigarette if you are 18 & over - your parents might not like that!). Or you can put it on a sub for a higher price. You can tell the sandwich makers there if you don't like banana peppers or onions or cigarettes - well, maybe your parents might like a free smoke. All the sandwiches at Bagel & Deli, if you want to change your sandwich and add mustard or mushrooms or smoked cheddar or cucumbers or swiss honey mustard or whatever and much more, you can. The service is super awesome and they make the bagels right in front of you. You can sit outside. There is only one table and two chairs inside. They deliver.
I didn't like banana peppers, so I took them off. You might feel a different way. I didn't really taste the onion part of the bagel. They had enough cheese, unlike the sandwich at Bruno's. The sauce was good enough for me. The flavor was kind of like beef jerky, so it you if like beef jerky you'll like their pizza sauce (I am not sure if it has meat in it, but it sure does taste like it). The meatballs were just like a meatball you'd put in spaghetti, but they were cut into slabs. There were enough of them. The bagel was steamed, so it was sticky and tender and good. The price of the Afterburner is $5.50 on a bagel and $8.25 on a sub. I felt like I got a lot for that money.
Out of a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 7.
Don't crash on your bike when you're coming down to Bagel & Deli to get this yummy stuff. Don't rush cause they're open until late!
